Not Another Child, Inc. (N.A.C.) was established in 2006 after the senseless killing of Andrell Daron Napper; a victim of a stray bullet that came from a gun being held by a 15 year old. N.A.C’s founder and Andrell’s mother, Oresa Napper-Williams knew that despite this tragedy, something had to be done to positively change and influence the lives of today’s youth. She therefore created “Not Another Child” with the purpose of educating our youth on the importance of non-violent solutions to handling life’s circumstances.
Over the past 10 years, the initial goal of saving youth has navigated to N.A.C. holistically servicing families. N.A.C. has made their mark with families, organizations, city agencies and elected officials. The organization’s unconventional services to families of homicide victims provides an out of the box approach for parents to embrace their new journey without their loved one.
N.A.C. has been featured on BET’s “My Two Cents”, BET.com and Up Close with Diana Williams.. N.A.C. is also an intricate part of New York City’s Crisis Management System (CMS) and the Cease Fire Initiative through the New York Police Department.
Mission Statement: Not Another Child’s mission is to provide wholeness and healing to families that have experienced a violent, traumatic event. We provide unconventional therapeutic support to families and communities.
